Lots of Post and Pictures...

Sorry for all the post and pictures...however, wanted to put them on here and didn't want to collage it.

Thanksgiving Weekend in Manila...Day 3...

Donovan had to stop and try fishing Carter Creek.

Donovan Owen Allphin
What a great name!
Again Owen slept through his whole experience!

He was so content just laying on the ice sleeping, never stirred. Maybe next year he will be running around with his sisters and not sleeping through all the action!

Saturday we spent the day at one of the frozen lakes about 30 minutes from the cabin ice fishing. It was a blast. The girls ice skated, fished (caught several) and hiked around the lake for hours. It was a beautiful day. The high was 30 degrees. Yes I know it sounds cold, however, with the sun it was perfect! Don Sr and Donovan had a great time. They would stay really quiet and then see a bobber move and quickly but ever so quietly try and get the rod before the fish heard them. Jeri took the girls on a little nature walk around the lake and then pulled them around in a little make shift sled. They had a blast. I even took Owen out for his first time fishing and sledding. He was a little cutie out on the ice. He missed this again because he was sound asleep. Maybe next year!

Had a great time with family this Thanksgiving weekend. I couldn't be more thankful for the blessings I have.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Long Lake!
(If you look closely you can see one of the cracks in the ice that goes from this side of the lake to the other).
Daddy and Owen out looking for our Christmas tree.
First time looking for his 1st Christmas tree...He slept the whole time.

Still asleep in my lap out in the truck. He missed his first experience...lucky for him I got it all on film!

Our Christmas tree we cut down is to our left. I love it!

Thanksgiving was spent out at Don and Jeri's cabin. It was a fun and relaxing weekend. Enjoyed spending time with Donovan's parents and our little family. We were missing Ember and my Mom this Thanksgiving. Holidays just are not the same when they are gone. Ember was in Idaho with her dad this year and my Mom has been gone now for a year and a half. I can't believe where the time has gone. However, still with missing them we had a great time. This year instead of the traditional turkey dinner we did a surf and turf and boy was it AMAZING! Thanks Don and Jeri for the wonderful food of lobster, shrimp and steaks! It was sooo yummy!

Friday Donovan and I took the kids out the Uinta's to see how far we could make it before the snow got to deep. We stopped at a few lakes along the way. Sheep Creek was our first stop, the little lake was completely frozen so Donovan took the girls for a closer look. When I mean closer look that means, going out and walking on it. Our next stop was Long Lake...this was a bigger lake than Sheep Creek. The ice had begun to thicken, however, was not thick enough to walk out on. This lake to me was the prettiest. It had two huge cracks running from one side of the lake to the other. The waves under the ice made it look like it was in motion (which it was). Amazing how water and ice mix and how dangerous it is if not completely frozen.

After heading out towards Spirit Lake we turned around at the turn off and headed back to meet up with Don and Jeri to go and cut down our Christmas tree.

Where Donovan and I Like to Go on Our Dates...

We love to head out about 10 minutes from our house as the sun starts to set and look for deer and BIG bucks. We are just amazed at these creatures and how beautiful they truly are. We love counting all the does we can find. The best is when we come across the big bucks. We love seeing how many points their racks have. These are some of the bucks we have seen while out. It may only be a 1/2 hour to an hour we are away from kids, but it is treasured time we have together! Love my Man!

Owen's Two Month Check-up...

36 weeks stats:
Birth weight: 8 lbs 4 oz
Birth length: 20 3/4 inch long

2 month stats:
2 month weight: 12 lbs 10 oz
2 month length: 23 1/4 inch long

He is happy, healthy and growing wonderfully! He is smiling, laughing and cooing...and still rolling over. He is a strong little guy, loves to stand and do push ups while being held. Doesn't like tummy time and just rolls himself over as soon as you lay him down. Love this little man. If he continues his growth he will no longer be a premie...he will be a big boy! So blessed to have him and so blessed at his growth.
