4 Month Check-up...

First basketball outfit...first of many!

Too big for his car seat now! Have to upgrade.

He is about half the size of Ash already!

Weight: 8 lbs 4 oz

Length: 20 3/4 inch

2 month Stats:

Weight: 12 lbs

Length: 23 1/2 inches

4 MONTH STATS:

WEIGHT: 16 LBS 9 OZ = 81%

LENGTH: 27 INCHES = 97%

I am so happy, Owen is now out of preemie status! He is growing, thriving, and doctor says he is above where he should be. Yay!!! I can't believe how big he really is. He has doubled in weight and grown already 7 inches in just 4 months! What is he going to be at 6 months or even a year?! He is going to be huge. That is good though. Daddy would like him to play basketball and height matters (well in some cases. There are some short basketball players). Check-up went well and so far Owen has stayed away from the sick child visits...so happy about that. Next appointment in 2 months!!!

This was the funniest thing playing peek-a-boo with Owen. Ember was holding him and I would pop up from behind the couch. He loved it. Ember and I were in hysterics! Love this little man!

Happy 58th Birthday Mom. I love you so much. I really wish that you were here to see your grandbabies. To meet Owen. You are grately missed everyday. I can't believe it has been two birthdays now with out you. Some days it doesn't even seem real, like I would just wake and you would be here calling me. At times it just feels like a bad dream I am stuck in and can't wake from. I miss you so much and wish so badly I could give you one last hug. You are and always will be Mom and Gramma Newman to us. Love you and know you are in a better place without pain. It's still hard. Happy Birthday, may your day be amazing!

I had the opportunity to take newborn pictures for a dear friend's baby girl Hayden Sage back in August (yes, I know, I am 6 months behind). With the problems I was having with my pregnancy and getting the flu the weekend I took these pictures, Owen's birth and in the NICU and then all the Holidays, it has taken me awhile. However, I am done, I am feeling good, I am LOVING how they turned out. These are just a couple that I liked. She was the first baby (besides my own girls) that I have taken. It was a great learning experience! Thank you Britt for this opportunity, I loved it and I love your family!

My Christmas Gift...

With the light being low it was harder to focus on this buck...however, I did get a couple good shots of him!

I love this one of the mom licking her nose...priceless.

I loved this little baby deer...she was so cute and wasn't scared of me at all.

This doe was right off the side of the road after the sun set. Used my flash.

This year Santa was too good to me...He brought me a telephoto lens. I love it. Today I was able to get out and take a few pictures with it. I went to my favorite area to look for the perfect picture of one of my favorite animals...DEER! The sun was going down so it was a little darker then I would have liked when I got out to where the deer where. However, I still like the way they turned out and the deer just stayed and posed for me. Here are a few photos I took, hope you enjoy them as much as I did!
