Father's Day Weekend...

Father's Day camping at Soapstone Camp Ground. A little 4-wheeling action up Soapstone Basin.

Midway, Lucky Lake-Mirror Hwy and Woodland All in One Day...

We had a pretty busy yet very fun day. We headed up Provo Canyon to Midway, picked up a couple of pizzas from Maddie's Bistro as we waited for the pizzas to cook we went across the street to the Crater and hiked around. After picking up the pizzas we drove to a nearby park to eat and have some fun with the girls. After we ate we decided to head a little further and drive the Mirror Highway. Donovan being the fisherman that he is found open water and decided to try, he had a couple of bites, however no luck in the fish department. That was a lot of fun, it was still really cold, the lakes were still frozen over and a ton of snow still covered the earth. It was such a beautiful sight. After we froze we headed on back home first stopping off in Woodland were Donovan's parents had just purchased some land. A very pretty place were we made a fire at a neighbors and ate dinner. What a wonderful time with the Grandparents, Mark, Talara and Family, James and Meagan.

Ember's Dance Recital...

Ember's dance recital took place before our trip to Boise, however I was a little out of order with this post. I apologize. For Ember's recital we were blessed to have her Grandma Newman come from Idaho to see her dance and her Grandma and Grandpa Allphin. It was a great night and she did such a wonderful job. We are all very proud of you Ember. You are a very gifted and talented young girl! We love you!

My Garden...

I pretty happy this year, I was able to plant a garden with the help of my father-in law. He tilled up the ground and laid out some of the black cover for me. I was able to plant tomatoes (Cherry and Big vine), however something kept eating it, we will see if they survive. I also planted zucchini, cucumbers, and squash. My father-in law planted the corn I asked for, peas and green beans. We are going to have a great harvest. Thank you Don for all the help getting my garden started!

My New Toy...

Along with a great Anniversary and Mother's Day Donovan being the wonderful man and husband that he is decided to do one more thing for me. He bought me a new trailer for my bike! It is great, now I can go biking with the girls in tow and ride when ever I want. It is great since the river is so close. Thanks Baby, I love it!

A Trip to Remember...

Our first day in Boise, Idaho, I took the girls to a nearby park to play.

The Girls loved the neighbor cat.

See the light gray on the concrete, yes it was pouring down rain!
The girls were soaked!

Mari a childhood friend, her husband Charles and all of our Kids together.

Sammy, Ember, Ashlynn,William, Daniel and Kenzie

The first day in Boise was all lined up for me and the Girls. We first went to the park and had a blast on all the toys, Ember however didn't like it, she kept saying it was too small. It was a big park with a little kids play area and one for Ember. Later that evening my Mom and I prepared for the BBQ we were having with my friend Mari from Anchorage. It had been about 15 years since we last saw each other. What a great reunion! The kids loved playing together. It was great seeing Mari, her family was so adorable. Until next time, take care!

The second day we woke up to a nice drizzle off and on. This day I had planned to meet up with BJ and his daughter so we could take all the kids to the zoo. When we arrived it was just a drizzle, however the longer we were there the stronger the rain came down! The girls were soaked, I was soaked! I was also in carpi's and flip-flops. We still had a great time despite the weather. Also all the big cats (lions, tigers and all the others) were very active, that was a lot of fun watching.

Third day was just like the other two days, busy and a lot of fun. I was able to get together with friends I went to Meridian High School with. Deanna (Young) and her 4 kids, Aubrey (Pollard) and 2 kids, Morgan (Jackson) and her 2 kids, Cara (Maxfield) and her 2 kids and last but not least me and my 3 girls! Unfortunately I brought my camera , however we talked the whole time and went it wa time to go most of the little once needed to just go and get naps. Sad no pictures. It was great seeing them after 11 years. They all looked amazing! After we had lunch I dropped Ember off at her Dad's and rested.

Then came the long drive home. Two kids and myself spell disaster! I had such a mentally and physically draining week that as I drove home I started feeling really tired! I actually had to stop at 4500 South in SLC for about a half hour just to re-alert myself. Make a long story longer, the trip was fun, eventful and we all made it home safe and sound!

We miss you Ember! We LOVE you too!!!
