Trick or Treat, Smell My Feet, Give Me Something Good to Eat!

Ember, Katie and Meagan really wanted to go Trick or Treating this year. So being the nice, sweet Mother that I am I volenteered to take the girls. I was lucky enough that Noah, Lana's little boy wanted to go as well. So Lana and I walked a little ways behind the kids and let them loose in the neighborhood. They had a lot of fun and got a loot of candy! Thank you Lana for going with me. I think Noah was in 7th Heaven with the girls! LOL!

Allphin Family Halloween Party...

Here are some pictures from the Allphin's Annual Halloween Party.

Mall Trick or Treating...

Mall Trick or Treating

The girls and I had the opportunity to go to the Mall and Trick or Treat with most of the family. Chris and Lacy brought Canyon and Sheridan. Talara brought Madisson, Carter and Branson. The kids had a blast running around trick or treating at every participating store. It was a lot of fun watching them have the time of their lives. Ashlynn really struggled with her bag however. She would try and open it to receive the candy and the handles would be twisted. I would show her how to open it and the next time she would be asking for help again. We had fun though. Thanks for the fun. We will miss you Aunt Lacy and Uncle Chris. Ashlynn and Kenzie already miss Sheridan and Canyon.

The Girls in Their Halloween Costumes...

Here are the girls in their Halloween Costumes. Ashlynn went as Snow White, Kenzie went as Lucy from Chronicles of Narnia and Ember went as a Dead Hip Hop Dancer.

Ember's School Parade...

Ember and Madisson's School Parade

Every Halloween the Elementary Schools put on a little parade for the students to show for their parents. It was really cool this year since Ember and Maddi were able to walk together. Here are the pictures from the Parade. Just click on the first to view the others.

Mommy, Kenzie and Ashlynn...

I thought I would let you all know what I looked like at Kenzie's Preschool. One of my many costumes! So much FUN!!!

Kenzie's Preschool Halloween Parade...

Kenzie had her Preschool Parade today. Ashlynn and I both dressed up as well. So here are some pictures from her big day! Kenzie had a lot of fun, so did Ashlynn.

Kenzie's Halloween Dance Practice...

Kenzie was able to wear her costume to dance yesterday. Here are some pictures of the practice.

Snow White and Lucy...

I took a couple of pictures of the Girls in their Halloween costumes before we headed off to dance yesterday.

Ashlynn makes a cute Blond Snow White and Kenzie make a really cute Lucy from Chronicles of Narnia.

Snakes, Snakes and More Snakes...

The Snake!

The Girls waiting to let the snake go.

Ember was eager to get her hands on the snake and hold it.

Good-bye Snake!

I have been wanting to catch a snake for my girls since they started coming out from under our house back in April. Well, I finally found one and was able to actually grab it before it slithered back through the hole under our side door. Yes, I have snakes come out right where we walk out our side door. Sometimes it isn't very fun trying to watch your step, I think the most we have had just right there were 7. That was a little unnerving. However, now I am used to them and have really been excited to catch one. I thought it would be fun to keep and just show the girls a little responsibility in taking care of an animal. I found however that I am not one that likes animals kept in small places. I felt so bad for the snake that after a few hours of torment in the cage I had Donovan take the snake to our field and had the girls let it go. They were bummed, but they really liked that they were able to hold it and let it go themselves. Here are some pictures from that great day. When we get a bigger cage I think it will be a little easier for me to actually keep one for the family. Until then, this snake is lucky to be out in the big world.

Halloweens of the Past...

Halloween Pictures from the Past

I have had a couple of friends comment on what we were as a family for past Halloweens. That we also went as really cool things. I'm not sure about that, but here goes...I was able to find the past few years, excluding Donovan and I for last year. I hope you enjoy the pictures I have dug up. It was actually a lot of fun reminiscing. We really love Halloween and try to make it a fun time with the family. For all those that would like to come to the Allphin Halloween Party please do. It will be from about dusk on Halloween until the last walk out the door. There will be home made root beer, chili, clam chowder, apple cider and I am pretty sure we will still have the donuts. What great time. I hope you all can make it to Don and Jeri's, it will be a lot of fun and people you probably only see once a year.

P.S. To look at all the pictures just click on the first and it will bring up all the other Halloween pictures.

P.S.S. I have a couple of pictures of Chris, Lacy and Mark. I thought it would be fun to throw them in as well. I need to look for more.

Oh-Oops! I Guess I was Tagged...Again...

So my Sister-in-law Talara has tagged me, yet again. I haven't done one of these in a while so here you go...I am supposed to tell 7 random or weird things you probably would not know about me.

1. How I met Donovan is kind of a crazy yet awesome an story. It wasn't your typical meet. We met on Hotsaints.com (an online lds chatting website). We started chatting on December 16th and Donovan really wanted to only talk to me, being the player he was said he had to get RID of all the other girls. He wanted to call me. So I gave him my phone# and he called within minutes. Since then we were chatting, talking on the phone and couldn't wait to meet one another. I forgot to mention...He was living here in Utah and I was up in Boise, ID. Needless to say we met, fell in love, got married, had kids and the rest is beautiful history. We have been together now 6 years!

2. Not too many people know this but I was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. I moved with my Mom to Meridian, ID during my Sophemore year of high school.

3. I love music, as of lately I couldn't tell you really what is out there. However, you give me the classics or play the humming part of Cranium and I am the one that knows her music. I don't know why but I had a boyfriend that would always quiz me. I guess it comes in handy now.

4. In the past 10 months I have had probably 9-10 new and different hair cuts. Thanks Talara I love my latest one. It has been a little hard on Donovan, he has loved each one, however right when he would get used to it, I would go and cut it again. Well Honey, you don't have to worry about this one. I love it! So it is here to stay!

5. Man, I am only on 5, I am not doing too good. I need 3 more things!

No one knows this about me...When my Grandpa Newman passed away 8 years ago it really affected me. I missed him so badly that I would actually say my prayers and at the end I would start talking with my Grandpa, I felt a very strong connection and that way the way I could hold onto him. Through the Lord I was able to still feel my Grandpa around me. I love the gospel and I am so grateful to have it in my life, knowing that I will see He and my Grandpa Newman again.

6. I have a great love for Art and design. I have always loved painting, drawing, charcoal, pen anything I can get my hands on. I love interior design (however my house is lacking). Right now I am kind of in a funk. I haven't been able to REALLY draw or paint for years, I truly miss that release. I am also really big into photography! I LOVE taking pictures of friends, family, my girls! Someday I hope to get into it seriously.

7. Last thing about me...hmmm...this was a little harder then I thought it would be. The last but probably not least of random things of me would be, I love to blog. I didn't think that I would, however, I love it. I love reading my families, friends and even others out there. I have found some really cute ones that does little girls hair in funky ways. So fun. I love just looking back on my own blog and the things we have done as a family. I love reading comments that people have left for me. I love leaving comments on other blogs. I love the pictures, I love the sharing. Thank you for all that have invited me and my family into your blog worlds. It has been a blast!

So there you have it, that's me in a nut shell. The people that I tag for this fun adventure will be: Lana, Jami, Anne, Janell (I know you have some stories, and sorry I know Katie just tagged you), Brittany and Mari. Have fun!

Sometimes I Hate Blogging...

I am going to rant just a little bit. I have now tried many times to upload the video from Ember's Cheer camp. To no luck. I have tried all the tricks and trades of uploading. What is MY problem??? I know it is just me because all my friends and family have been able to upload there video. Hmmm, can you say not too bright! I will try again soon, right now I am tired and have been working on my blog for the past several hours while Donovan was sweet and took the Girls out. This was supposed to be a little R&R for me, however I think stressing about uploading a dumb video has taken the peace and quiet and changed it to restlessness and aggravation! Someday I will have it posted so everyone can witness Ember and Meagan dropping some one while cheering, but not only that to witness that they did a great job for a couple of days of practice! Way to go Girls, you looked awesome! If you know of the easiest way to post video I would love the feedback. Thanks in advance!

Hobble Creek for a Little R&R...

First thing the Girls run to...The River!

Here is that Handsome man again! He made a great fire. Thanks for keeping us warm!

The Girls with a BIG pile of leaves!

Kenz and Ember looking cute.

I love this of Kenzie. Pretty, Pretty little Girl.

The Girls loved throwing the leaves. I happened to like this picture of Ember.
Very Fall!

Ashlynn still wasn't sure if she liked getting into the leaves!

What a cute bunch of girls! I am truly blessed to have them in my life as well as their wonderful Dad!

Fun in the leaves!

Ember decided that they all needed to be buried in the leaves, as though jumping and throwing them weren't enough.

Ashlynn having the time of her life!

Kenzie wasn't too sure about this until I told her to "Smile".

Ember was in Heaven!

Here I am getting into the spirit of things.
I hate pictures though.

Marshmallows Galore!

Roasting Marshmallows. Kenzie was able to do her own and she did such a great job. She is growing up too fast!

More Marshmallows!

Ember couldn't stop eating them! I thought she would turn into a Marshmallow!

Donovan cooking our stew for dinner.

Our Yummy stew!

Have no clue why I threw this in here. Maybe because Donovan doesn't think we have enough pictures of Mommy.

I love this picture of Ashlynn and Her Daddy! They are so cute together.
With me working they really started bonding. It's about time!

The Little Ones huddled up with Their Daddy! How Cute!

Donovan was sweet and so thoughtful. As you all know I haven't been feeling the best as of late. So earlier in the day I had gone out to my work (yes, I started working again, part time) and had to let them know that I was quitting. This was the hardest thing I have done in a long time. I starting working only 2 weeks prior to this. I worked a week and then the next morning after one of my shifts I broke out in a terrible rash. Well, I was out of work on sick time for a week. I didn't think that it was fair to my Supervisor or anyone else that I worked with that they would be short handed. So...I quit. I was bummed so Donovan suggested having a little R&R up in the mountains. We went and picked up some dinner to make (stew, bread and marshmallows). Then the Allphin's headed up the canyon. It was such a great night. I really needed this trip. The girls had a blast playing in the leaves, roasting marshmallows and making smores and sipping hot chocolate. Me, I enjoyed watching them and taking as many pictures I could of the fall colors. This is my favorite time of year and I am truly grateful for the experience I was able to share with my family. We all had a great time and I am hoping here in the next couple weeks we will be able to make it back before all the leaves are gone. Thank you so much Donovan, you truly are a wonderful man. I am so blessed and loved! I love you.
