This picture was taken on the drive home from Topaz Mountain, it is a huge Dust Devil on the side of the road, out on the highway heading to Joy, Utah.
Looking for Topaz! None to be found, unfortunately for us the sun was behind the clouds.

Ember thought our wood for our fire looked like Jenga blocks, so while Daddy and I were packing the girls played, you guessed it, Jenga!
Not only did we have to watch out for spiders, snakes, not so much lizards, I had to make sure the kids didn't stumble on a scorpion. This is a picture of one of the hundreds of scorpion holes around our camp.

We had a lot of fun shooting, it was so remote and right against the mountain we didn't have to worry about anyone around.

I think Daddy called this a Tunnel Spider. To me it is just another nasty spider, that I could do with out.

The long road to get to Topaz Mountain would be an understatement. My heck could we be any more remote? Donovan and his adventurous spirit has to get the family involved. It was great, but it probably wasn't the smartest thing we have done! We set off from Gandy (all of the trip from Gandy was driven on dirt roads). There was nothing around we saw one car, they actually waved US down to ask for directions, what? We were somewhat clueless as to where we were as it was. Once we passed them we came upon a compound that was pretty creepy. We kept driving on these dirt roads for another 2 hours. Still there were a total of 4 cars we passed, thankfully nothing happened to the truck (it has over 200,000 miles on it). Once we started getting to the hills and the curves the girls loved it and called them Whoopedie-Doos (or as I call them Tummy Ticklers). In the backseat after we would go over one Ashlynn would yell "Do'd it 'gain!" It was a lot of fun, however Mommy and Daddy started getting a little car sick, lucky for us we were almost to Topaz Mountain.

Looks like you guys had a great time. I know that Jon was super sad he had to go out of town. Let's plan another camping adventure together. We always have fun with you guys. We also need to get together with the kids.
